Patek Philippe

Probably the best there is in modern day watch making. Made with the highest standards of workmanship and quality control. It takes more than 1,200 operations to create one watch. Between three and five years are spent creating a new mechanical movement. Six hundred hours of quality control checks, followed by thirty days of observation and rigorous examination. Each watch is individually assembled, polished and regulated by hand.

100% of the Patek Philippe mechanical movement are awarded by the prestigious official hallmark of the Geneva Seal granted since 1886 to locally crafted mechanical movement which comply with 12 high quality criteria.

The Genève upon the dial of a watch merely means it is a Swiss watch and at least one of the major operations in fabrication have been performed in the canton of Genève so that at least 50% of the total cost of production incurred there and has no relation to the geneva seal.

With over 70 patents under their name, it really is

"You never actually own a Patek Philippe. You merely look after it for the next generation."
